10 steps to find advertiser leads using WIZA

If you’ve ever wanted to find someone’s email, or a leads list with emails in bulk, this is a great way to do it.

You will need purchase some credits from WIZA, and upgrade to LinkedIn’s Sales Navigator.  Use SalesNavigator to conduct the search. Then use the WIZA icon, now integrated into Sales Navigator, to match the search results with emails, save them to your WIZA account, and provide a download to CSV.

Follow these steps:

1. Define the advertisers’ personas.  List the job titles, industry categories, company size and locations.

2. Go to LinkedIn Sales Navigator page.

You’ll see a Wiza icon on the right side, but first you will need to conduct a search, whether for a name, or a batch of names.

3. To search in bulk, Select the job title, company size, and location in the left navigation

4. Type the industry category into the search field at the top.

5. Check the list size.

Wiza only accepts 2500, so if it is larger than that you should filter – and keep track!. When you export to match the lists, WIZA will only charge you for unique new emails, but it helps to have a strategy is you are pulling more than 2500 names.

6. Click  the WIZA icon in Sales Navigator to match names.

The list will take a few minutes and will be sent to you by email, and will also be stored in the WIZA platform. To stay organized, name the list by fields you used to create the export, ie Presidents, CEOs and Owners, fewer then 10 employees, California. You can then export to CSV from your WIZA account, and the file will also appear in a few minutes in your email.

Only use the emails that WIZA shows as valid. If you are running a large list, also run it through a tool to clean the list before you email.

7. Match 1st contact emails (1cp’s).   This is in the middle navigation options, under the ‘Relationship’ advanced filter. This is typically a great list that knows you, but may not be in your CRM.

8. 2nd contacts may or may not be relevant

Start with 2nd connection and look at the size and relevance.  If you need to reduce the number – these can get really larger – use the following filters:

  • Geography: If your market is location-based, geography is another way to limit the number.
  • Company headcount: Reducing the headcount will help filter out larger companies that may have too many employees to or just too many people involved in the decision-making to be helpful as an advertising lead.
  •  Job title

9. Use  WIZA for researching individual contacts.

WIZA’s  extension is also great for finding an individual email in a pinch, or, say, a list of names from a conference, when you don’t have the email list. When you click on a profile anywhere on LInkedIn, the browser extension is right there to help you find the email and/or phone number without requiring a download.

10/ Use Wiza’s live chat support. We’ve found it has the best in the business, which is another excellent reason for selecting this company. Once you play around with the tools, you can always find someone during business hours to answer questions that you still have.
